NorthBEAST 2010 is on!
NorthBEAST is an annual poetry slam in which teams from New England and the surrounding region compete to secure spots at the National Poetry Slam. 2010 marks the fourth year of the NorthBEAST tournament, and the second year in a row that Manchester will host the festivities.
NorthBEAST takes place Oct. 23-24, 2010.
We'll have our first slams at the Bridge Café in downtown Manchester starting at 6PM on Saturday. Our individual championships will take place Sunday afternoon at the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Please check out our schedule of events.
Everyone is welcome to participate.
True, the eight teams were picked a while ago. But Poetry Slam is an inclusive art form! We'll be hosting workshops, an open mic or two, karaoke at the after party, and, of course, we'll need judges and volunteers!
